Making Jesus Known,,,,,,,

Church and business share many of the same principals.  Good money management, investment in a product, good time management, and serving your customers.  All of those principals are true in church and business.  Think about starting a restaurant.  Start up costs, quality of food, and getting the word out.  If the food is the Gospel, then we know that we have a good product!!!! A free product!  People both love and are skeptical of free things.
Last summer I was led to hand out water at the summer concert series in my hometown of Los Alamos.  I found out a few things.  First, even when you are giving things away, the average person in leery of accepting it.  That first night, we could have sold more water than we gave away.  The second is, the word spreads.  As we kept showing up, people were more inclined to accept the free gift.
So why did I share a story, and compare churches to businesses?  To illustrate the point of how the Gospel spreads.  It is through talking about Jesus, and walking out His teachings.  A business does not grow it no one knows about it, the Church is Jesus' chosen tool to dispense the Gospel.  We have got to get the word out.  Yes, that might mean advertisement.  Yes it means putting yourself in uncomfortable situations, but all for the Glory of God.
"If we will not evangelize, the church will fossilize." -Greg Laurie
Keep preaching, step out of your comfort zones, for the glory of God.

In Him,

Pastor Cam
